With a narrow radar beam, extended range, and advanced signal processing, the Pixel II Gully provides highly reliable and precise readings, even in challenging urban gully environments. The same proven FMCW technology used in the Pixel XT, purpose-built for drainage.
Range: 0–3m measuring range with no dead band for accurate water level readings from surface to sensor.
Resolution: 1mm resolution for precise water level measurement and silt indication up and downstream.
Narrow Beam: FMCW radar with < 4° beam angle (+/- 2°) minimises interference from gully walls and structures.
Silt Build-up Estimation: Multi-point measurement tracks sedimentation over time, providing visibility of flood risk and silt accumulation trends.

Beyond water level, the Pixel II Gully continuously monitors ambient light and temperature. When leaf build-up or debris covers the grate, the ambient light sensor detects the dimming — providing early blockage detection without the need for visual inspection. In winter, the temperature sensor provides early warning of potential ice formation, enabling proactive intervention.
Grate Obstruction Detection
Ambient light sensor detects leaf build-up and debris covering the grate. Dimming light levels indicate increasing blockage, triggering alerts before flooding occurs.
Water Level & Sedimentation
Radar tracks water level and silt accumulation in real-time, providing contemporary sedimentation data that reduces flood risk and supports visibility of temporal trends.
Ice Formation Warning
Integrated temperature sensor provides early warning of potential ice formation in winter months, enabling proactive intervention to reduce risk.
Optimised Cleansing Schedules
Data-driven optimisation of gully cleansing schedules enables cyclic and reactive maintenance, helping local authorities prioritise high-risk locations and reduce operational costs.

Data is continuously fed to the UDlive Portal where it can be accessed, analysed, and managed remotely. Users can set automatic alerts, collect data via API, or forward data by MQTT to other platforms. Compatible with CatsEye II RTU and CatsEye II Pixel II for unified monitoring.
Seamless Portal Integration: Automatic alerts, custom scheduling, historical data analysis, and API/MQTT forwarding — all from the UDlive Portal.
Dual-Path Communications: 2G/3G/4G, LPWAN (LTE-M1, NB-IoT), satellite, and Sub-GHz radio options with dual-path redundancy.
Encrypted & Secure: aes256 symmetrical encryption ensures secure data transfer from sensor to cloud.
